About Marisa Lee
Dr Marisa Lee Naismith has had a sustainable and highly successful career in the performing arts industry for over 45 years as an award-winning vocalist, singing teacher, voice researcher, industry mentor, international presenter, author & podcast host. Marisa was awarded a PhD based on her investigation into the training of singers across popular music styles and has spoken on stages all around the world regarding her research work and experiences in the music industry. In 2022, she published her book, Singing Contemporary Commercial Music Styles: A Pedagogical Framework, which was targeted towards offer training to singing teachers and other professional voice users. In 2021, Marisa proudly launched her popular podcast, A Voice and Beyond, which aims to empower others to take centre stage in their own personal and professional lives. On July 1st this year, Marisa launched her performance mastery coaching business, where she works with singers, professional performers and other creatives who are looking to take their careers to the next level. Through her coaching program, Marisa will help her clients clarify who they are as artists, so they have the skills, craft and the confidence to launch their performance and creative careers.
It’s now Marisa’s mission to pass on all those hidden gems that she discovered during her career journey, to anyone and everyone who wants to create greater impact in all aspects of their lives. She wants others to experience the joy of getting life-changing results, and the satisfaction of being well paid, having a successful, and sustainable business doing the work they love.
