Once upon a time, I believed the starving artist myth and took the practical route, pursuing a career in finance.
Good money? Yes.
Life filled with passion and purpose? Nope.
After 9/11 happened, I knew I couldn’t go back to that world. Perhaps you can relate to that?
But you don’t have to choose between passion and profit. You can have both.
My own road to entrepreneurship wasn’t always smooth or easy, but after over twenty years of making a sustainable living as a watercolor portrait artist (like this painting of my son in his Batman costume) other artists began begging me to show them how to sell more art too, not just learn how to paint …

When I first quit my job, I painted on the side and taught Pilates at the gym. But once the gym taught me how to sell personal training packages, I had my “aha” moment: these time tested selling strategies could be used to sell ANYTHING.
Including art.
Since then, I’ve built a multiple six figure art business and you can learn how to do it too.

My art and story have been featured in major publications including The New York Times, Where Women Create, Creative Women, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Art of Man, and Art Journaling magazine by Stampington, as well as seen on NBC’s “Parenthood” and the Amazon series “Hunters” with Al Pacino. Getting publicity is easier than you think, and works no matter where you live in the world. (you can learn how) Moreover, my art has been sold around the world and included in New York museum gift shops. These sales and marketing techniques don’t just work for me, but also for the hundreds of artists that I’ve been coaching since 2019.
When I’m not painting, writing, coaching other artists or planning art world domination, you can find me in a museum or spending time with my husband, two adult kids, and a tuxedo cat named Luna.
I’m vegan (most of the time) but lie about it the rest of the time.
I brought a cat home without warning my husband (even though I’m allergic) but he’s her favorite.
My daughter is a cellist and a music teacher (she’s a REAL musician).
The sweet boy in the batman costume above is now part of the Israeli Defense Forces. (I secretly suspect it's the uniform he loves)
My art has been used for television and print ads by Sony.
In college, I rubbed shoulders with CNN’s Jake Tapper (he was an ART major who also took the practical route).
During the 2020 quarantine, I reread the entire Harry Potter series.
