Sangeetha Gopalakrishnan is a plein-air oil painter, sustainability advocate, and founder of the OC Women’s Outdoors and Wilderness Group. After 19 years in tech as an electrical engineer, she left her career to become a full-time artist last year. Originally from India and now based in Southern California, Sangeetha creates bold, meditative landscapes inspired by her backcountry hikes with her dog and her backpacking painting gear. Her art practice is eco-conscious and certified as a California Green Business. She’s passionate about enabling women access the outdoors and leads a 1,000+ member outdoor community.
