The painting depicts tangerine orange and gold koi fish swimming in a cockatoo turquoise blue pond. The art has been given a coat of protective acrylic varnish. There are mixed media collage elements of art papers, tinted piano sheet music and watercolor paper as well as acrylic paint, There is also subtle iridescent gold shimmer on the backs of the fish scales.
