(First I want to thank fantastic and saavy artist Melody Lamb for coming up with this great idea. You can find her free art card here.)
I am offering this lovely Mother’s Day greeting card for you to download, print and use free! Below are the instructions you’ll need to get your free art card.
Directions
Step one:
Click on the image above to open the large version (this is to avoid a very slow page load here on my blog)
Step two:
Right click the image and save to your desktop.
Cut in half a standard size sheet of card stock rated to use in your printer, (Melody uses Epson Premium Presentation Paper). You will want to cut this so that you have two sheets of 5.5 inch by 8.5 inch pieces. I like Staples A7 Scored Cardsand matching envelopes which are already cut to the perfect size.
Depending on the program you use, ( Melody recommends Google’s Picasa) be sure to orient the free art layout so that it fits your half sheet completely. You may want to do a test run on regular printer paper. I like to use my photo printing wizard. When you select “printing preferences” button choose “user defined” for the size. Then enter “700” by “1000” this will give you the 5×7″ layout for the pre-cut paper. you may also choose to have the image cropped to fill print area.
Step five:
Print, fold and enjoy!!

What do you think makes a great Mother’s Day card?
@Lisa I don;t use picasa for printing at all– I use Microsoft printing wizard.
@Melody you are being kind since I completely copied your idea. I hope that the traffic I generate towards your sites with the link above and the tweet will compensate for my piracy.
Beautiful, Miriam! I'm so glad I could inspire you.

This is so kind of you Miriam…I have been trying to print it off in Picasa, then Photoshop 3.o, now Gimp…no luck…but I am sure it's ME. I tried to print my art on a card a long time ago and gave up. Now I remember why. I don't know why it's so difficult for me. Grrrrr.
But your art does look very pretty on my card stock. : )
Thank you again.
