Whether you are decorating a room for a bachelor or a couple it is important to keep the man happy. For a happy marriage, keep the husband happy and everything else will fall into place. Without hanging a moose head over the bed, you can still embrace masculine touches without sacrificing style.
Color Notes:
In a masculine palette you want to ground the room with black and earth tones. In this decorating scheme, the black and white striped rug anchors the room and allows for more vibrant touches and chartreuse green and orange. The tree art pulls the whole room together in an interesting way.

Karen, I was simply copying all the items I found in the room view above, and there was a poppy vase. I like yours better because I think the chunky pottery has a more rustic vibe.
Miriam, forward thinking that you chose my little poppy vase for a masculine room. Most would never think of such a thing for a man but hey- men are romantics and like flowers too! It was my recent trip to France that inspired them and I imagine them in a sexy French mans room… tee hee
