About the host, Miriam Schulman
In case we haven’t met yet, I’m an artist and founder of The Inspiration Place, where I help other artists learn how to profit from their passion or become better artists. Through online classes, business coaching programs, and a top-ranked podcast, I’ve helped thousands of artists around the world develop their skill sets and create more time and freedom to do what they love. My signature coaching program, The Artist Incubator, helps artists go from so-so sales to sold-out collections.
A graduate of Dartmouth College and M.I.T, I initially pursued finance but after witnessing 9/11, I abandoned a lucrative hedge fund job to work on my art full time. Since then, my art and my story have been featured in major publications including Forbes, The New York Times, Art of Man, Art Journaling magazine as well as featured on NBC’s “Parenthood” and the Amazon series “Hunters” with Al Pacino. My forthcoming book with HarperCollins Leadership on how to make it as an artist is scheduled to be released January 31, 2023. When I’m not in the studio, you can find me hanging out with my husband, adult kids, and a tuxedo cat named Ebony. I’d love to invite you to check out one of my free resources for art lovers (of every passion level) at schulmanart.com/freebies

“Amazing episode
☆☆☆☆☆
You did it again! The podcasts from 2019 talking about being a mom helping your art! I’m a mom of 3 and I’ve been saying, I need to get more commissions from people I don’t know, that episode showed me just how wrong I was. I need more friends, that is the best marketing possible. Thank you so much! Pricing art can be so hard sometimes. I had never heard of the linear method, that seems so much better than the square inch method. Easier to adjust up and down based on experience. Can’t wait for more education, heading over to find more episodes!”

Dear Miriam,
This podcast resonated with me sooo much…especially when you were describing the “passionista” (spelling). Well, all three hit home with me. The one about perfectionism hit me between the eyes. Because of my “perfectionism,” I find myself exactly as you described: comparison, wondering how others “made it,” and afraid to start anything for fear of failure. BUT, because I have been SO involved with all of your classes and the Incubaor Matermind?, I have grown so much, however, I still am finding that I doubt myself far too much. What you had to say today was pure inspiration, and I am so lookng forward to reading your book! Thank yiu for your superb podcasts. They help me a great deal, and keep me on the right track!
