Wedding Gift Idea

If you are looking for a creative wedding gift idea, do what this couple did. They commissioned me to paint flowers around the perimeter of the invitation and will give the hand painted invitation back to the bride and groom to frame.

Wedding Keepsake

What better way to remember the romance of the wedding day then with an embellished invitation as a wedding keepsake! The new couple is starting their life and home together and needs art for their walls. Let them decorate a new home than with beautiful watercolors of the special wedding day.{you can order a wedding keepsake from my etsy shop HERE}

How to’s:

  1. Mount the invitation on watercolor paper using a glue stick
  2. Apply a thin layer of Golden’s Absorbent Ground to the watercolor paper and the invitation
  3. Let the invitation dry overnight
  4. Draw flowers in by freehand using a pencil
  5. Paint the flowers with watercolor.
  6. Outline the flowers with a Staples black gel pen.

  3. That's such a lovely, personal gift. These days it can be really hard to find gifts for people, especially as many have already set up home before they're married. This would be perfect!
