About Martha
Martha Brane’s journey to becoming an artist has been anything but conventional. With a diverse career spanning technology and creativity, she has been a wife, mother, Nana, and a pioneer in the computer industry. In the early 1980s, she founded a software company that published the first personal computer golf game sold across the U.S. Art, however, came much later in life—with no prior experience, just a deep passion for creativity and exploration.
An adventurer at heart, Martha has cycled across Missouri and the Luberon Trail in France and motorcycled through South Africa. That same fearless spirit is reflected in her artwork. She creates vibrant contemporary pieces featuring symbolic bluebirds, florals, and nature scenes – especially ocean themed—subjects she loves. Her early work focused on impressionistic landscapes, florals, and café scenes drawn from life and photos, but today, she paints purely from imagination. Embracing an intuitive approach, she finds it more expressive, personal, and true to the soul of art.
Martha’s work is a celebration of nature, joy, and the beauty of the unexpected.
