About Sangeetha,

Sangeetha Gopalakrishnan is a plein-air oil painter, sustainability advocate, and founder of the OC Women’s Outdoors and Wilderness Group. After 19 years in tech as an electrical engineer, she left her career to become a full-time artist last year. Originally from India and now based in Southern California, Sangeetha creates bold, meditative landscapes inspired by her backcountry hikes with her dog and her backpacking painting gear. Her art practice is eco-conscious and certified as a California Green Business. She’s passionate about enabling women access the outdoors and leads a 1,000+ member outdoor community.    IG: @sangeethagartist

About Chris,

Chris Holt is a fine artist from the Pacific Northwest. Chris paints oil paintings featuring narrative botanical landscapes. Inspired by Edward Hopper and others, his art captures life’s fleeting moments where time slows and beauty reveals itself. He loves those quiet pauses—the golden light, the shifting breeze, the in-between spaces where meaning unfolds. Life has taught Chris to embrace change and live fully in the present. To dream and act upon of what’s possible. Each of his painting is an invitation to pause, breathe, and see beyond the surface—to find beauty in the moment. IG: @chrisholtstudio

About Bret,

Bret Neathery is an abstract painter whose journey began in 2018 after a transformative encounter with Jackson Pollock’s No. 1 (1949) at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Though familiar with Pollock’s work from books and photos, seeing the piece in person revealed the emotional power a painting could hold and set him on a new creative path. He primarily paints with acrylic on canvas, filling his work with shapes, symbols, and color. Sometimes guided by emotion but often led by instinct and the joy of creating, he doesn’t aim to explain every piece. Instead, he invites viewers to connect with the work in their own way. At the heart of his practice is a simple goal: to create art that feels alive and meaningful, and offers someone a moment to stop, feel, and experience something real.  IG: @bret_neathery_art

About Christine,

Since 2004, Christine Mighion has been hand crafting each piece of jewelry in her Northern Indiana studio. Using gold, silver, semi-precious and precious stones, her line is a balanced vision of organic and modern. Imperfections and irregularities that mimic the course of nature greatly inspire Christine. Her jewelry has been featured in numerous national and international fashion and lifestyle magazines including Lucky, Shape, Vogue, and The Knot. To serve her community of fellow jewelry artists, Christine launched the Slowmade Podcast in November 2023 and the Slowmade Collective later the following year. Through engaging conversations and shared experiences, the Slowmade Podcast and Collective provides a space for learning and growth, helping jewelry artists navigate the challenges and triumphs of building meaningful, sustainable businesses. About Martha,

Martha Brane is a contemporary artist and former tech pioneer who founded one of the first software companies in the early 1980s. An adventurer at heart, she brings the same fearless spirit that led her to cycle across France and motorcycle through South Africa into her art. Her vibrant, imaginative paintings—featuring symbolic bluebirds, florals, and ocean-inspired scenes—celebrate nature, joy, and the beauty of the unexpected.  IG: @marthabranefineart

About Megan,

Megan Maberry is renowned for her whimsical headdresses. Drawing inspiration from the glamorous costuming of Vaudeville, Old Hollywood, and Carnaval, her creations are unique, original pieces that double as conversation starters and memory makers. She holds a graduate degree in Art Education and is dedicated to fostering creativity in others with live workshops. When not designing headdresses, Megan is a full-time art teacher, balancing her passion for education with her thriving creative business. Residing between the beach and the Sam Houston National Forest, Megan shares her life with her husband and six rescued dogs. IG: @hurricaneheaddress

Artists working together at the Chelsea Artpreneur Studio in New York City

Chelsea Artpreneur Studio · New York City

What’s the biggest bottleneck holding your art business back?

Maybe it feels like pricing. Maybe it’s finding the right collectors, choosing the right opportunities, or figuring out what deserves your attention next. Or maybe you can see 3 different directions your business could go, and you’re tired of guessing which one is right.

That’s what we’re working on at the Chelsea Artpreneur Studio, October 28–29 in New York City.

This isn’t a conference or another workshop where you leave with forty new ideas. I’m bringing together a small group of established artists for two days of hands-on strategy built around the actual problems you bring into the room. We’ll look at your business, figure out what’s really holding it back, make the decisions, and map out exactly what comes next.

You’ll also have a professional branding portrait session, plus plenty of time around the table with a small group of artists who take their businesses as seriously as you do.

You’ll leave knowing what’s actually holding your business back, what needs to change, and most of all, what to do next.
