with host artist Miriam Schulman
Being an artist is beautiful and rewarding while also being a challenge. Very few truly understand the spiritual journey of an artist striving towards success.
There is a notion that the life of an artist is all struggle and mental torment, and that couldn’t be further from the truth when you have the right tools and the right community and type of support that caters to your creativity and success.
The Artist Incubator Programs offered by Schulman Art are directed to more than skill and business, they were developed with emphasis on the mindset component of the artist’s journey.
Shaun Roney has been a guest on this podcast before and is also one of our Motivational Monday coaches. In this episode I’m highlighting key mindset struggles of artists that Shaun speaks to directly.
In this podcast, you will discover…
3 Mindset Struggles You’re Probably Facing as an Artist:
- Money and Abundance
- Emotional Childhood versus Emotional Adulthood
- Analysis Paralysis
“It takes work, some energy and some intentionality to think in a different way.” -Shaun Roney
Shaun Roney is a certified ADHD and Life Coach with Revealed Path Life. She joins Miriam’s Artist Incubator, which offers monthly coaching sessions, to share her wisdom, experience and solutions to the things that keep us stuck as artists.

About the host, Miriam Schulman
In case we haven’t met yet, I’m an artist and founder of The Inspiration Place, where I help other artists learn how to profit from their passion. Through online classes, business coaching programs, and a top-ranked podcast, I’ve helped thousands of artists around the world develop their skill sets and create more time and freedom to do what they love. My signature coaching program, The Artist Incubator, helps artists go from so-so sales to sold-out collections.
After witnessing 9/11, I abandoned a lucrative hedge fund job to work on my art full time. Since then, my art and story have been featured in major publications including Forbes, What Women Create, The New York Times, Art of Man, Art Journaling magazine as well as featured on NBC’s “Parenthood” and the Amazon series “Hunters” with Al Pacino. Check out my best-selling book with HarperCollins Leadership, Artpreneur, how to make money from your creativity, wherever books are sold. When I’m not in the studio, I split my time between New York City and a farmhouse in the country. I’d love to invite you to check out one of my free resources for art lovers (of every passion level) at schulmanart.com/freebies

I’ve listened to many of your videos but this is one I listened to again recently. I find the videos so uplifting and inspiring. I can feel the enthusiasm and confidence being passed on to the listeners. My recent interest in selling more art is because I’ve been accepted into a juried outdoor art festival. It’s not cheap so selling as much art as I can is important for this one so I can recoup my costs. I’d invest further but it’s just not a good time with current health issues. Thank you for your great podcasts.
